Sofie Taillieu is an all round creative person. This translates in to paintings, sculptures or other handmade decorative objects. Inspired by people and nature, in search of her own visual language.

Sofie strives for beauty in combination with functionality. Quality and ecology are important to her.

Her style is rather timeless with a twist. Neutral, earthly colours with special color accents. Materials with different structures, preferably natural. Unity, and composition, always in search of the balance between empty and full.

Studio Work

Sofie Taillieu has been passionate by art since she was a little girl.

Drawing, painting, sculpturing,… as long as she could create.

She mastered in Graphic Design at KASK in Ghent, later she designed shoes, took an extra education in Maroquinerie and graduated recently in Interior Design.

She gets inspired by nature and people, life in general. She loves to work more expressive and searches for new ways to add structure in her work.

She finds herself in search of her visual language and loves to evolve. She want to explore different materials and research how they can be used in the way she wants.

She likes to use colours which are softened, polluted and diluted with whites and blacks or browns. Also earthly colours are used in her work.
